Meet your Guide
Hi, I’m Lexy Florentina. I’m a trauma trained professional with a background in Mind-Body Health and Psychology. I specialize in nervous system regulation, attachment reparenting, and Somatic Experiencing.
I have had a private practice working with clients all over the globe for the last 5 years. I have a background in Psychology and have completed training in Trauma Informed Coaching, PolyVagal Theory, Attachment Theory, Somatic Practice, Somatic Parts Work, and Somatic Experiencing.
But with the professional work aside, I am first and foremost a human who has experienced complex trauma, childhood trauma and chronic health challenges. As you're instructor and space holder for this program, I come with empathy for and understanding of what it’s like to feel stuck, in pain, and living in a cycle that can’t seem to be escaped.
The teachings and practices you'll find in this course hold a special place in my heart. They are the very tools that allowed me to heal after a grueling 10-year battle with chronic illness. A decade filled with chronic pain and a shadowy, unexplained ghost of illness finally led me to an incredible realization – our body is truly our ally.
With the right perspective, we can foster a relationship with our body that's based on safety rather than threat.

How is this course different from Return to Regulation? Can I still join if I completed your other courses?
RTR is a program that explores all areas of your life from the lens of your nervous system including relationships and inner child work. Body Patterns focuses on body based patterns and nervous system dysregulation through Polyvagal and Somatic tools. There are some similarities in educational information, but also many different exercises and tools in each course. Body Patterns includes updated practices and techniques that RTR does not have. Therefore, if you have already taken one of Lexy's courses before, this course can still be greatly beneficial.
Is this course for beginners or those who have already done a lot of "work"? What If I'm completely new to somatic work? What if I have a lot of experience in it already?
Great question! This course is intended for all experience levels. Whether you have never heard of somatic work before or you are very familiar with it, this program offers a variety of educational and experiential offerings to develop your knowledge and deepen your knowledge.
Is this course only for those with chronic illness? What about emotional dysregulation?
No matter where you are on your healing journey, this course is for anyone looking to deepen their connection to their body. Whether you are experiencing chronic pain, depression, anxiety, fatigue, heart ache, or shame... the foundation of my work and of this program is to cultivate a deeper connection and relationship with your body, which will create a ripple effect in your health, your emotional wellbeing, your relationships and more.
